Rest Day: The wonders of Old Québec

Myself, Becky, Louise, Larry and Gee ventured into Old Québec. We walked along the chateaux wall which provided a fantastic view of the city.

Walking within the city greatly reminded me of the structure of cities in the Netherlands and other European cities I have seen in the movies with narrow streets. The hills in the city made it interesting as well as one section had stairs from one street going down to another.

In Old Québec we bought poutine from Ashton because we figured we are in Québec so we must eat some authentic poutine. And I also ate my first ever Beaver Tail with cinnamon and sugar, it was so good! :)

We walked on a boardwalk along the river and I saw a sculpture of Samuel du Champlain who founded Québec in 1608. I also saw Le Chateau Frontenac which is quite the grand hotel. I will definitely go back to Old Québec to explore more of its wonders because it is an incredible city full of history.
