Rest Day: Drumheller

On this rest day I investigated the Royal Tyrrell Museum. It was quite the incredible museum. I started out by reading all the summaries; however, that ended quickly because there was so much information in the museum that I ended up just walking around. However, I would definitely revisit that museum. The history of the dinosaurs is quite interesting and the fossils are incredible. The size of the dinosaurs is amazing, they were such grand creatures.

After exploring the museum I went back to camp to do some chores; ie laundry and cleaning Paula. That evening there was a Tornado warning. It was slightly intense because Joyce announced to all of us there was a Tornado warning. Right after that announcement the surroundings felt eerily calm and then suddenly the winded picked up. We all went to our tents and put up our guide lines to ensure our tents would not fly away. Thunder and rain came soon after; however, a Tornado never touched down, so that was a relief. And the storm ended with a rainbow, so all was well  :) I figured it was better to experience this weather on the rest day rather than while we were riding because we could get blown off the road!

Tomorrow we were heading out of the Red River Valley, back into the endless fields towards Youngstown, where community members would be making us a potluck dinner, which is absolutely amazing.
