Craik to Regina, 124km

Today we would be heading to Regina, where we would be having our rest stop. That morning Louise and I set out with Fred.

Since arriving in the Prairies Louise had been mentioning that she wanted to take a picture with a train as well as on the railroad tracks because they appeared endless. Just outside Craik there was a train just sitting on the tracks. I asked her if she wanted to take a photo on the train and she said why not so we got off our bikes and climbed up the ladder on the front of the train. We took a photo of each of us waving as if we were departing to some distant land, it was fun :)

The remainder of the ride was uneventful. The goal was simply to get to Regina. When we were in the outskirts of Regina we met up with Alain, Jacques, Bob and Irene. Together we navigated our way through the city to get to camp, which was neat to have a line of riders going through the city. The route our map took us to get to camp was through what appeared to be a commercial, industrial area so it wasn’t that nice to look at. It would have been more enjoyable to have ridden through downtown, but oh well, so was the route.

It was great making it to camp because rest day officially began, which meant sleeping in, yipee!!! :)
